Well just a bit about me before I delve into what I have been doing the past 2 weeks regarding trading/gambling.
Right, I'm a 20year old student. That's about it, oh yea and I like to gamble.
So, onto the more important stuff. Me and my trading.
I started out on New years day, 1st Jan for those who don't know

, with a starting bank of a mere £50. You have to start somewhere

.
Anyway, I traded 4 games on the Saturday and 1 on Sunday (the chelsea/aston villa game). On Saturday I got off to a blistering start, made a nice £8.55 profit by backing the 1-2 score line in the West Brom/Man Utd game. Not bad from a £20 bet. Moving on to a more unusual game - the liverpool/bolton game. Man, surely a traders nightmare? Especially with liverpools form of recent. I managed to come out with a mere £0.92 profit from the game. How? I don't know. Probably should have lost the earnings from the United game I guess.
Anyway the late game...Birmingham at home to Arsenal. I had a £5 insurance bet on the 0-0, and a win bet on Arsenal. Was about to lay off the 0-0 after about 10mins for a reasonable profit, but was too late, Arsenal already put one in the back of the net. Not to mind though, thats what a insurance bet is all about right? Managed to recoup that little loss with a £13.68 profit on the back bet of Arsenal.
So at the end of day 1 I had turned £50 into £68.15, not too bad for a beginner right?
Sunday came along, and I thought to myself, right lets back the 2-1 on the Chelsea/villa game. Backed at 11.00 for £20, laid off at 9.3 (average odds) to make a little money (£3.51).
So that weekend I made just over £20, thats still 40% ROI. Not too bad if I don't say so myself.
Had a accumulator thought, 8 teams in it. The only team to let me down for £100 were Chelsea. But that's gambling, not trading...
I'm still young and learning. Just need to try keep discipline and not let greed get to me.
Slow and steady wins the race. You never know, I might be able to turn that initial £50 into £500 in a couple of months.
Any comments would be great. Tips, Tricks or any advice from budding traders would help.
Cheers,
Tom
