I resurrect the following from the other 'English only' forum:
I know that all the members who visit the Chat room are courteous, and funny and are very helpful too. However (you knew there was a 'but' coming huh), I think that we could adopt a couple of common courtesy suggestions (this is only my opinion folks...feel free to disagree):
1. Pick a different colour/type of font from the others in the Chat Room. This makes it a lot easier to follow different conversations (especially when there are a lot of people in the Chat Room).
2. When you 1st join the Chat Room, just pause for a moment or 2 and look to see if someone is in the middle of a conversation, before saying 'Hello'. Sometimes some people are being advised on how to get out of a punishing trade...interrupting at a sensitive point can cause some anguish.
3. For quite a lot of people in the Chat Room, English is not their 1st language. We should try to be considerate about some of the terminology, slang etc that we may use (not saying don't...just saying be aware).
4. If at all possible, please try to find out what the Trade of the Day is before entering the Chat Room...it's amazing how many times the same questions get asked as people enter the room (and it can be another distraction when perhaps, other more pressing questions are in the process of being answered).
The above are simply suggestions. There is no way I would want to see this forum become hidebound in daft 'regulations'. We're all adults here, with a common objective in mind...to learn all we can and become successful football traders...I feel that the above suggestions may help in achieving that objective.

I'll add number 5.
5. When asking a question addressed to someone in particular, begin your question with @NAME, where 'NAME' is the chatroom name of the person concerned (ideally in caps). This makes it easier for them to spot, as well as others to ignore, if you see what I mean.

Good stuff guys, agree totally, and when we've had 60 odd in the room it can be difficult to follow, perhaps by posting less and more to the point with games in play moreso, when there are 3 or 4 on the go.

Let's not lose sight of the 'fun' aspect of chat, though! The banter with fellow traders is a major source of enjoyment for me - it doesn't need to ALL be serious
