Bare with me, cos I haven't really thought this through (yet) so was hoping we could bounce these ideas off each other here.

Just had an email from Betclic, "Back A Correct Score, If It Finished 0-0, You Get Your Stake Back As A Free Bet."

It's not just Betclic that do these offers, lots of bookies do.

This could be used to our advanatge with the dreaded 0-0's, surely? By laying the 0-0 off in play at lower odds when there has been no goals (say half time) we could re-coup our stakes?

So, backing 1-1 with evenly matched teams, waiting for a goal, lay off when the first one goes in?

Disadvantages: One bet at a bookies, one on Betfair, may be a bit harder to follow, no "what ifs" on screen, but not impossible to do on papaer or with online hedging calculators. Odds on bookies sites are 9 times out of 10 lower than exchanges.

Thoughts?

I puzzled over this Longy. Are you saying that you would place a 1-1 scoreline bet with the bookie, then try to trade the 0-0 and the 1-1 scorelines at the exchange?

I think something along them lines, yeah. I'm still trying to figure it out myself, but in certain trades we sometimes back 0-0 as an insurance, if you place it with the bookie then you have free insurance on the 0-0.

To be honest I'm waiting for someone to come along and tell me why it wouldn't work, but it's certainly something to think about.

Hey all

Lets say the refund is up to 50 quid. 1-1 odds at bookie are 7, and 7.2 at bf. If u back £50 at 7 and lay £48.95 at bf you get -£3.50 either way (5% comm). Now you laying £5.91 the 0-0 at bf at odds of 9, your liability is £46.48. If the game will finish 0-0 you got your 50 back minus £3.50 minus bf 0-0 liability £46.48 = £0.02. Any other score you are minus £3.50+5.91(minus comm)=£9.11. Obviously you can adjust the stakes. You looking for low 0-0 odds and as close as possible odds of other scorelines between bookie and bf. Also you can do it live and wait for 0-0 odds to drop at bf. Although if you stick only to games that offer refund there is a big chance your account will be limited. Thats my point of view at 0-0 refund (or any other score).

Centrebet refund offer:

"Internazionale v Chelsea money back offer

Jose Mourinho was beaten in two Champions League semi-finals when in charge of Chelsea. Can he inflict more woe on his old club by leading Inter to victory at the San Siro?

If Internazionale beat Chelsea 1-0 in the 1st leg of their Champions League encounter, we’ll refund all losing correct score bets on the match!

He was famous for his 1-0 victories at Chelsea, can The Special One do it again and give Inter the advantage going into the 2nd leg?"

there are no terms for that offer but on the mse forum someone contacted cs thru live chat:

Im thinking to back 1-1 at centrebet for £25 at 6.0 and back at bf 2-1 at 12.5 for £15. If Inter will score first and the 1-0 odds would drop to 6.0 i'll be able to lay that score at 4.17 for even profit at both sides. Then hopefully 2-1 and 1-1 will come in. Any thoughts about this??

If Chelsea score early would the 1-1 come in? Think they might go out? Not sure what would happen to the 2-1, stay the same or even go out? Don't think it would come in. A bit more insurance on U1.5 goals similar to the AA? Lots of questions and no answers from me!

As I said when I first started the thread, it was hard for me to try and get you're head around it! Was hoping more people would jump in on this. With so many offers similar to this about every weekend we could all end up with free insurance.
