I've made a lot of money over the past couple of years laying Tiger. His dominance of the game has been so complete that he is (was) often available to lay at around 4 at tourney start. Crazy. A field of between sixty and two hundred and someone is at 3-1?
Don't get me wrong - this trade has the potential to be a real white knuckle ride! But imo the odds have been too good to miss.
Sadly, I might have to rethink my approach to golf trading now as I wonder if he can recover from all this bruhaha. I think Tiger will continue to play but fear he is a busted flush and will be out in the low teens - too high to lay. That price movement will also have the effect of bringing down the number of decent players priced at 800 - 1000 where literally a £2 bet can bring greens of £2-300.
Sad times for golf traders I fear.

Joking aside, and we've seen a few! we will never see a better golf player EVER imo, so hope he gets his act together, (preferably after the Ryder Cup!). A lot of companies have already dropped him, what a fall from grace, the once perfect professional is no more.

The cult of the celebrity is a cruel taskmaster. Haven't a huge amount of sympathy for him tbh. Don't blame him for succumbing to pleasures of the flesh, but if you put yourself on a high pedestal a fall is always gonna hurt.
He's got a billion or two in the bank so he's not going to be on the breadline. Just disappointed for me that a dependable income stream has gone up in smoke!

His problem is that he purported to be a paragon of virtue. He's happy to trouser the millions of endorsement dollars, paid for the use of his image in various ways, only to cry foul when something inconvenient hits the newspapers and celebrity blogs. The sad thing is that the guy is enormously talented. He is famous for something positive, not for sleeping around (not originally, anyway ) or possessing a couple of surgically enhanced glands.
